\jee-teh-geh-máy\  v [Swahili : sustain yourself] : empowering street children through education.

How you can help

There is a saying in Swahili, Mkono mmoja haupigi makofi which translates to "One hand (alone) cannot clap." It is through the support of many people generous individuals that Jitegemee is able provide the street children of Machakos with access to formal and vocational education. $100 supports a child in elementary school for a year and $500 supports a child in secondary school. You can also help by holding a party in your home to let your friends know about the organization, by becoming a board member, or by donating in-kind goods like books or computers, or your own expertise.
