Stories of Hope

Thanks to dedicated friends in the United States and talented teachers in Kenya, Jetigemee’s programs have done some amazing things.

Winifried, a very tough street girl who used sleep outside a storefront in town, is now a hairdresser at the end of a year-long apprenticeship that has earned her money. She is so poised and stylish now that those who knew her in her former life find it hard to recognize her.

Muli Kieti, an orphan, is a junior in the area’s best high school, living in an elite boarding facility less than a mile away from the tin-roofed slum where he grew up. We have high hopes that he will qualify for a college and a government scholarship.

We have countless other stories of hope to share.
